An acrylic and mixed media artist originally from Finland and now based in Barcelona, Spain.
Artist Story
Art has always been part of my life. From an early age I loved drawing and was fascinated by colour and the emotions it can express.
Over the years I've been fortunate to live in Sweden, the United States, London and now Barcelona. Experiencing different cultures and places has influenced how I see the world and continues to inspire my creative work.
Today I create original acrylic and mixed media paintings that celebrate joy, companionship and the special bond between people and their dogs.
Inspiration
Where My Inspiration Comes From
My inspiration for painting dogs began with the dogs in our own families. Oscar, Daisy and Karkki were more than pets. They were loyal companions who filled our lives with happiness, comfort and unconditional love.
Each had a unique personality that continues to inspire my paintings today. When I paint a dog, I'm not only trying to capture how they look. I'm trying to capture how they make people feel.
Process
My Creative Process
Every painting begins with an idea, a story or a special connection. I work primarily with acrylic and mixed media because they allow me to build layers of colour and texture that create depth and character.
Rather than rushing a painting, I allow each piece to develop naturally. Every layer contributes to the finished artwork and helps create the expressive surfaces that have become part of my style.
My goal is simple. I want every painting to bring joy. Whether it's an original artwork or a commissioned portrait, I hope it becomes something that makes people smile every day.
I believe dogs enrich our lives in extraordinary ways. Through my paintings I hope to celebrate that relationship and create artwork that can be treasured for generations.
